Roles & Responsibilities.
CHAIR – Kristin Van Nort has over 10 years of experience in communications, mainly in the non-profit sector.
VICE CHAIR – Missy Kruse has more than 40 years of experience in communications, including public relations.
TREASURER – Pat Meads spent 39 years in sales promotion, advertising, marketing and event planning before starting her own business.
SECRETARY – Lisa Angle of Ninety Degrees Media is the ‘right Angle’ for all your media needs, including websites, videos and social media.
IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT – Mitzie Zerr is the administrator for business retention and expansion for City Utilities’ economic development department.
DIRECTOR – Kaley Daniel, CCP is the Director for Texas Tech University Libraries’ Office of Communications & Marketing, a speaker, an author, and all-around communications enthusiast.
DIRECTOR – Kari is currently the VP of Membership Development for the Bloomington-Normal Chapter of AWC, and has served on their annual Crystal Awards and Fall Workshop Committees.
DIRECTOR – Michelle Maggs currently leads the Weber Shandwick Seattle office, serving as executive vice president and general manager.
DIRECTOR – Peggy Fleming is currently the Director of Communications at a community bank which she has worked to bring into the 21st century.
DIRECTOR – Allison Buehner is passionate about the Association for Women in Communications.
